Globalization and Climate Change: In Pursuit of a Better World

Arts & Humanities Tract

As globalization and climate change become increasingly important and pervasive shapers of our world, the arts and humanities have a crucial role in bringing the lenses of disciplinary knowledge and practice to bear on global and climactic challenges. Papers and presentations in topic areas in the arts and humanities will show how our fields intersect with the problems and solutions of globalization and climate change through theories and practices in areas such as critical theory, literary theory, history, rhetoric, art, feminist and gender studies, transnational theory, and other fields. Proposal abstracts may describe theories, practices or artistic productions that support the relationship between the Arts & Humanities, or even complicate and critique how we understand and act uponmate change with such fields of interest and study.
